ignition

Since 2014, General Motors has recalled about 12.8 million vehicles because of faulty ignition switches. Over 11 million of those vehicles are believed to be in the United States. The issue of the ignition switches pivots on product liability law involving a mechanical part in the switch that can accidentally turn off the engine of an affected vehicle. When the defect arises, the vehicle’s engine shuts off. Sometimes collisions would occur because of loss of control of the vehicle as a result of the defect. 2015 Kia Sorento Recall

October 29, 2015 By Staff - s.r. Leave a Comment

There is nothing more frightening for a driver than to have something mechanical go wrong with their vehicle that is the fault of the manufacturer. Occasionally an auto manufacturer will recall a vehicle part due to malfunction and the consumer must present the vehicle to the dealership for repair of the malfunctioning part. This is of no cost to the consumer as the producer pays for the replacement and cost of vehicle repair. The vehicle manufacturer is wholly responsible for recall of vehicles with mechanical malfunction, but the consumer driving the recalled vehicle carries some element of … [Read more...]
